Sean Miller and company have been able to pull in top tier recruits since he’s been in Tucson and 2017 looks to be no different. One of the players that Arizona hosted this weekend during the Red-Blue scrimmage is 2017 top ten guard Troy Brown, Jr.
The 6’6 guard was able to take in the Arizona campus during the trip.
“It was a lot of fun. A great game to be at and watch, especially getting a chance to watch Justin and Ray play again so that was cool,” Brown told PGU.
“I really really liked the facilities. It was just really nice. The campus itself is just beautiful,” Brown responded when asked about what had stood out to him. Part of the visit process before the game had each recruit go their separate ways to get a tour of the campus and really take it all in.
“They had us go separately but yeah we saw everything. Lauri was messing with us from time to time but nothing too serious,” Brown said.
With freshmen Justin Simon and Ray Smith already having a friendship with Brown it’s definitely something that he keeps in mind when talking about Arizona.
“It was cool and it was a fun environment. Just everyone acts like a family down there and hanging out with Justin and Ray again was cool,” he said.
“I would say the crowd definitely made a difference and even though they were playing each other you could feel how excited they were to have basketball back,” Brown added.
