Arizona lost their second game of the season at Oregon State, falling 58-56 to the Beavers.
It was a wire to wire game in which neither team could separate from the other. Points were also hard to come by for both squads, though Oregon State converted an efficient 20 of 39 from the field.
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson led Arizona with 14 points, including 10 of 13 free throw attempts.
TJ McConnell was once again an offensive spark, scoring 13 points, many of which came at critical junctures. The senior point guard also contributed 6 assists and 6 rebounds.
The Wildcats were stifled by the Oregon State zone defense, which held them to 17 of 45 (37%) shooting, as well as 4 of 17 (23.5) from three point distance.
