On Monday, USA Basketball released their list of 2014 Men’s U18 National Team Training Camp Invitees headlined by incoming Arizona freshman Stanley Johnson. Joining him includes a group of the country’s top young players, including 2015 Arizona commit Tyler Dorsey.
This gives Sean Miller an early chance to coach two of his most prized talents, as he is an assistant coach.
The camp will be held from June 10-19 at the US Olympic Training Center (USOTC) in Colorado Springs. Immediately following the camp, a 12 member team will compete at the 2014 FIBA Americas U18 Championship, hosted at the USOTC.
Johnson was previously a member of the 2012 FIBA USA U17 World Championship team and also represented his country at the 2014 Nike Hoop Summit last month.
This time around, Johnson is going to be one of the veterans and team leaders, along with Duke commits Tyus Jones and Justise Winslow.
In total, 10 of the 21 invitees are incoming college freshman while the other 11 are in the class of 2015.
Among those include Dorsey as well 2015 recruiting targets G Justin Simon and C Stephen Zimmerman.
