Despite a sloppy start riddled with turnovers, Arizona was ultimately too talented for Cal in a 73-50 blowout.

The Wildcats turned the ball over 10 times in the first half, but looked much better when they settled into their offense. Overall, Arizona shot 24 of 49 from the field, good for 49% and 2 of 5 from the three point line.

Stanley Johnson once again led Arizona, scoring a game high 18 points to go along with 9 rebounds. He converted 5 of 10 field goal attempts and 8 of 9 from the charity stripe.

Arizona was excellent at the free throw line, hitting 23 of 26 attempts. Their aggressiveness was a key factor in blowing the game open to the point that Cal could not retaliate.

Freshman Dusan Ristic was excellent on offense, scoring 12 points on 5 of 6 shooting. With Kaleb Tarczewski and Brandon Ashley in early foul trouble, Ristic’s minutes in the first half were extremely important.

Ugly first half when we couldn’t take care of the ball but we really rebounded from that in the second. Glad to see us make some changes at half and start to pour it on!!
