The Arizona Wildcats continued their historic season by earning UA’s first #1 seed since 2003, staying out west for the NCAA Tournament.
Arizona will play the Weber St Wildcats in their first game, with a potential matchup against 8 seed Gonzaga or 9 seed Oklahoma St in their second game. Both games would be played in front of a very pro-Arizona crowd in San Diego, California. After the Wildcat faithful showed up in mass numbers to the Pac-12 Conference Tournament in Las Vegas, the same should be true in San Diego.
Arizona has potential Sweet 16 matchups with 4 seed San Diego St or 5 seed Oklahoma. Both of those teams will have to go through 13 seed New Mexico St and 12 seed North Dakota St, as well as each other if they want a shot at knocking off the Wildcats. The Sweet 16 and Elite 8 games would be played in Anaheim, CA, yet another favorable location for Arizona and their fans.
On the other side of the bracket, 2 seed Wisconsin is paired with 3 seed Creighton, in what should be a very even match should both teams advance to play.
Before you submit your brackets, keep an eye on 6 seed Baylor as a potential Cinderella team in the Western Region.
