Arizona Honors Terry in 87-57 Win vs USC

History was made as Jason Terry had his jersey retired, and Arizona paid tribute to him all night in a spectacular 87-57 victory.

Arizona was on fire from the field, converting 19 of 30 shots in the first half, a scorching 63.3%. Kaleb Tarczewski feasted, going for a team high 15 points on 6 of 11 shooting. He also pulled down 9 rebounds in just 21 minutes.

Freshman Stanley Johnson was brilliant, scoring 13 points with 7 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals. He hit 6 of 12 shots, and was able to break down the USC defense at will.

Senior TJ McConnell had 10 points and 7 rebounds in just 19 minutes, and helped blow the game open with 6 of those assists in the first half.

Arizona got a big boost from the reserves with 26 bench points. In freshman Parker Jackson-Cartwright’s return to action, he had a career high 11 points in 16 minutes.

The Wildcat defense was once again superb, forcing 16 turnover that resulted in a whopping 25 points.

Arizona also controlled the glass all night with 22 offensive rebounds. Tarczewski had 5 offensive rebounds, while Brandon Ashley had 4. The Cats turned those extra possessions into 20 second chance points.

Ashley played a team high 28 minutes, scoring 11 points on 4 of 7 shooting with 7 rebounds.
