this is why I think the bears will be good:
(I think they will make the rose bowl for the first time in forever, but i also think USC is the favorite for the title game vs. Ohio State...VERY tough predicting)
first off why I don't like Cal:
-QB Issues, thats everyone's reason not to like them but I think Longshore when healthy can lead this team far (but still when ayoob is the back-up eek)
-the Game @ Tennesse, they may win but its a road game, first game of the season
-Games vs two bcs conf teams in ooc (Minnesota and Tennesse) minny might not be as good as last year or before but still are from a bcs conference
-USC game, the critical game of the year is @ SC
why i like cal:
-marshawn lynch is a BEAST
-justin forsett the backup rb could start for MANY teams
-other than @SC most of the other pac 10 games are @ Cal
-they return all the recievers, and 9 total on offense (if you include longshore)
-they return 7 defensive players
-last year they were soooo unlucky they have to get a little lucky this year
-just as elite 11 qbs before him (boller, rodgers) longshore will surpise people
-tedford.
-tedford hired new offensive coordinator mike dunbar, who was the offensive coordinator at northwestern last year (think offense!) and will give cal spread plays added to the power run
anyone know if levy will be able to play? i know he's out for the first game
