Gimino: Mowatt thinks she won't be in 2008 Olympics

Arizona senior Taryne Mowatt had never received an e-mail from USA Softball before.
That's because USA Softball had never invited the pitcher to try out for the national team.
"One day I was checking my e-mail, and the header said something about USA," said Mowatt, who had been waiting for possible notification. "And I was like, 'Oh, my gosh.' "
That was a few weeks ago, but it wasn't until Saturday that USA Softball released the names of 32 players who will participate in a tryout camp for the 2008 Olympics.
Mowatt, the star of the 2007 Women's College World Series and winner of two ESPY awards last month, was on the list, her first invitation to a U.S. softball camp.
