But rather than just pointing and laughing (which we bloggers are always good at), I do want to say a few things about that softball player, Caitlin Lowe.
First of all, she suffered a broken nose in that incident on Saturday (the outfield at Arizona's Hillenbrand Stadium doesn't have a padded wall or a warning track), but she's playing through the pain. Also, she's a great player: The student newspaper named her Arizona's athlete of the year, and she's a four-time All-American. And finally, she's an accomplished woman off the field: She was named college softball's outstanding NCAA Division I senior student athlete, an award that includes on-field and off-field achievements.
So, congratulations, Caitlin Lowe. And look out for the wall next time.
