Chester, Pennsylvania native Rondae Jefferson will visit Arizona today and tomorrow before he plays in the Under Armour Elite 24 game in Venice Beach this weekend.
Rondae Jefferson is a 6’6 small forward and is considered to be a top 10 player in the class of 2013. Jefferson is a must get for Sean Miller and assistant coach Book Richardson. Arizona needs an elite wing player and Jefferson would be the ideal fit for the position.
That makes this a very important visit for Arizona.
After this season Arizona will have departures from Kevin Parrom and Solomon Hill. Arizona won’t have a swingman above 6’5 let alone anybody with the overall skillset that Rondae Jefferson possesses.
Landing a commitment on this visit or shortly after would be absolutely huge for Arizona not only on the hardwood, but on the recruiting trail as well. Elliott Pitts was a fantastic way to start off the class, but a commitment from Rondae makes Arizona just that much more attractive to a recruit.
As we saw last year commitments tend to be infectious and Arizona definitely could use the momentum to end this class with an even bigger bang.
Besides, it’s that time of year where Sean Miller is hungry for top 10 talent. Just ask Brandon Ashley.
There is no recruiting duo in the country better than Sean Miller and Book Richardson. They will make it known how much they want Rondae and will do everything they can to secure a commitment. That’s just what Arizona does. Arizona isn’t trying to lead the country in visits. Arizona is about getting top 10 players and winning national titles.
And that’s why all eyes are on Rondae Jefferson.
