Mitch Lightfoot, a 6’9 210 pound power forward, is down to his final official visit and will find himself in Tucson this weekend to take one last look before making a commitment.
The schools in the hunt for the do-it-all forward are Arizona, Kansas, Stanford, St. John’s and Utah. Having already taken official visits to the others, Lightfoot made it a point for Arizona to be his final visit and Sean Miller looks to seal the deal.
“I just can’t wait to get to Arizona. My officials have been really fun though. I just got back from St. John’s over the weekend and the cold weather was actually nice,” he told PGU.
Having already visited the Arizona campus a few times before PGU asked what else there would be left to see at this point.
“Yeah, I’ve been there before a few different times but this weekend I’m going to the tailgate and I cant wait to see the Wildcat fans.”
He’ll get the full treatment while on campus while getting a chance to go through the process of visiting with the honors college advisors.
“I want to major in Chemical Engineering or something in a related field. I took a class my sophomore year and it just really clicked with me and got me interested in that area of study,” Lightfoot said.
With this being his final visit a timetable definitely exists.
“I will take a week or two to decide on my future. I just want to relax and do what is right for me,” he told PGU.
“I have a lot of ideas floating around in my head. That’s why I want to wait around two weeks after the visit with the hope to fine-tune these ideas,” he said. “It’s just going to be a hard decision.”
