2015 Allonzo Trier is one of the most talented scorers in all of prep basketball. At 6-5, his scoring prowess and size pose difficult matchups for defenders. Click here to view Trier’s profile in PGU’s recruiting database to learn more about the Wildcats’ recruiting target.

Trier will play his senior year at Findlay Prep, in Henderson, Nevada. Here is an excerpt from the scoring guard’s evaluation:

“Excels at breaking down defenders with 1-on-1 moves….. Most comfortable as primary scorer….. Ultimate confidence in his shot, capable of putting up big point totals and sparks runs with his offense….. At 6-5 has great size for college SG….. Likes to step back into pull up jumper….. Adept ball handler who threatens to beat his man off the dribble to open up jump shot opportunities….. Not a straight line dribbler, shows some creativity on his drives….. While not a vertical athlete, shows good midair body control on drives….. Can absorb contact when taking ball to the hoop….. Doesn’t have the quickest release but knows how to create space for his shot….. One of the most prolific scorers in Nike EYBL history.” (6/9/14)

Sounds like a scorer, hahaha! Would love to see kids with this size playing at the UA in the future since Miller can work with that so easily on the defensive end. It certainly sounds like there’s not a ton for him to work on at the other end.

Great breakdown PGU, never ceases to amaze me!

Haven’t seen anything about his game I don’t love. He looks like a killer, love players with that killer instinct to go for the other teams throat.

A ruthless guard who can score one-on-one at will would be a great addition on a 2015-16 team where a lot of offense will have gone to the NBA by then. Excited about Trier’s game.

Love that he can create space for his shot, especially at 6’5”. We need that kind of scorer.

Would be nice to have a proven scorer like him, being able to create his own shot pretty much any time he wants. That would be great in late game situations.
