BC Forward Ryan Anderson Transfers to Arizona

March 13th, 2014 News 1 Comment

Ryan Anderson, who transferred from Boston College, is the latest addition to the Arizona Wildcats. The 6-foot-9 216 pound forward averaged 14.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game last year for BC as a junior.

Among many other factors, Anderson cited the desire to play in the NCAA Tournament and win a National Championship as ultimate reasons for choosing Arizona.

After a coaching change spurred his transfer, Anderson made visits to Indiana, Arizona, and Iowa St, and drew interest from a number of other schools.

Anderson will sit out a year and join the team on the court for the 2015-16 season. Anderson also successfully underwent shoulder surgery, which is expected to adequately heal by roughly September.

If the current predictions hold true, the Cats will have the best class ever in 2015 and will fight Kentucky for the #1 spot.
