Arizona hosted 6-foot-6, 220 pound Mater Dei (Calif.) small forward Stanley Johnson for a short visit on Tuesday and he came away impressed with Arizona.
“The visit was first class,” Johnson said. “I had a fun time with the players and the coaches and it was great to see former Soldiers Nick (Johnson) and Brandon (Ashley).”
Johnson was able to see numerous aspects of the campus and of course visited the Mckale Center.
“I toured McKale and the rest of the college. I really liked the RJ gym and locker rooms and all the facilities.”
“I also met with Coach Miller, who talked with me about what I could accomplish at Arizona,” Johnson said.
In addition, Johnson was able to watch the team practice before they leave for the Bahamas.
“Coach Miller runs a great practice,” Johnson said. “ I could definitely see myself playing with them.”
Johnson wants to take his time through the recruiting process but Arizona would love for him to be a Wildcat as soon as possible.
“They wanted me to commit but they didn’t put too much pressure on me. I appreciate that,” Johnson told PGU.
Johnson mentions no favorites and has the entire Pac-12 on him but we haven’t been shy mentioning how well Arizona is doing with him.
Johnson has no further visits palnned.
